As a Virtual Dataroom provider with more than ten years of experience, we have managed millions of documents. Besides the day to day data room questions that we get from our clients and partners, we are also frequently asked questions about security, documents and technology in general.
A couple of days ago we were asked how to redact (or block or hide) part of a page on a PDF when not using a dataroom. This is something that we do for our clients many times but that you can easily do with Adobe Acrobat in its most recent versions.
View—–>Toolbars—->Redact
Then click on mark for redaction and once you have marked all the text click on Apply Redactions. Once you save the document, nobody will be able to see whatever was in the blocked section.
